If your garage door sending sensor is showing a yellow light and the other does not show a green light it is likely they are misaligned.
The locking feature is meant to prevent garage door remotes from opening your door.
Only the button on the wall control or manual keypad inputs will open it.

This is of course a safety feature to prevent the heavy garage door crushing anyone or anything that might be in the pathway of the door when it comes down.
Clutter or obstructions that block the sensor are the first problems to look for if your door won t close or in extreme cases open at all.
Other signs include flashing garage door opener lights missing sensor light or flashing sensor lights.
The back of the motor has a circuit board with a service light as well.
If motor unit does not activate disconnect door control wires from motor unit.
If this doesn t fix your problem then the problem is more than likely the safety reversing sensors.
3 light flashes problem.
First check the sensor lights.
To unlock your garage door opener push the lock button for 5 seconds.
Okay now that you know some of the common signs of garage door sensor malfunction you re ready for the next step troubleshooting.
Once you see the double flash press the control button on the remote control.
If the light flashing persists then the problem may be wire related.
Simply hold down the lock button on the wall control for about two seconds to disengage the lock.
In order to fix this you ll want to make small changes to the close limit setting until the door opener knows to stop once the door has reached the floor.
If anything interrupts this beam of light the garage door will not close and the ceiling light on the opener mechanism will flash as mentioned in the previous step.
If your garage door is closing fully and then reversing to open again then it may be due to a problem with the close limit switch.
Inspect door control wires for a short staple in wire replace as needed.
The remote control will not work.
If your garage door opener is still blinking try realigning the safety reversing sensors.

Disconnect wires at door control touch wires together.
