The grand canyon lodge main dining room is quite large and has huge windows offering diners the spectacular north rim panorama. For dinner you must make reservations though and they won t guarantee a spot by the window. We use free range poultry products which are antibiotic and hormone free. I had high hopes for this meal as they have an upscale sounding menu but alas it just wasn t worth it. Dining in the historic grand canyon lodge is truly a memorable experience. Dine in sophistication on the edge of the grand canyon s south rim. Each features a varied menu including daily specials.

Our menu includes regional dishes as well as cuisine from the 1930 s. When president teddy roosevelt arrived at the south rim s el tovar hotel in 1906 it was a newly opened bastion of elegance just 20 feet from the precipitous edge of the grand canyon. We visited for lunch and enjoyed the space and the friendly service by enthusiastic servers but alas the food was only average. We take pride in utilizing only the freshest and healthiest ingredients.

When we arrived for dinner it was very crowded noisy and bustling.
